Trip Report
Ohio's highest point is named Campbell Hill. Campbell Hill is actually a real mountain (by USGS standards), meaning that it rises 300 feet over the saddle between it and the highest connecting peak.
Andy and I were in Cincinnati for work and decided to drive up to the highpoint. The highpoint of Ohio isn't much by mountain standards, but hey, we eventually want to claim as many state highpoints as possible and it gave us an excuse to site see in Ohio.
The drive went fairly smooth and we drove right up to the highpoint parking lot. You really only walk about 50 feet to the summit sign(s) and summit register. You can sign in and even pickup a certificate that proves you did the peak.
The area is actually quite pretty. Very green and well taken care of. I appreciated the historical signs and monuments near the top.

Getting There
The peak is located near Bellefontaine, Ohio. From town, follow OH 540 east and over US 33 and take a right on the signed entrance to the High Point, which is on a school's property.
